The World Salsa Federation, the international governing body for Salsa Dancing, formally recognizes the UNITED STATES SALSA FEDERATION as the official national governing body for Salsa Dancing in the United States.

The UNITED STATES SALSA FEDERATION is authorized by the WSF to administer national rules, certification, rankings, and official United States Salsa Championships under WSF governance.  As the world governing body, the WSF maintains international rules, syllabus, judging standards, and world championship oversight. The UNITED STATES SALSA FEDERATION operates as the national federation for the United States within the WSF global governance structure.
